Happy Lamb Hot Pot, Richmond

Again another heavy weight contender in Richmond’s iconic eats. You can never go wrong with hotpot. It’s so comforting, especially in the winter weeks. Eat your heart out because it’s all so delicious!

Clean, tasty, and definitely a solid choice for hot pot! The food presentation was on point, and the ingredients were fresh. Overall, a really good experience—didn’t disappoint. Much better than other chains!

One of the best hot pots I’ve ever been to. Great sauce bar as of 2025, and the lunch special is unbeatable and very generous. The lamb was subtle, delicious, the beef was fatty, and the broths were absolutely packed with chilis, star anis and other aromatics. Really recommend!

I recently visited here with group of friends, and we had an amazing hot pot experience! The tomato & spice broth were rich and flavorful, with a variety of options to suit every taste. The staff ensured our pots were always filled with broth and our plates were never empty. The meat and seafood were fresh, and the vegetables were fresh too. If you're a hot pot enthusiast or just looking for a unique dining experience, Happy Lamb is an excellent choice.

This place is by far the best hot pot spot in the lower mainland. No matter how busy they are they always greet you fast and are friendly in the process. Also the amount of money they’ve spent on this place is unreal. Every table has a proper ventilation system. The prices are extremely affordable. The food is very fresh. I always love coming here for the lunch two person deal you get lamb, beef, mushrooms, fish, tofu, etc. it’s always so much food. The broth is unbelievably delicious and flavorful. The place is very clean. I’ve been here a few times and never had a bad experience. They have a huge selection of options and broths. It’s very easy you can order on an iPad and they have robots that come by. It’s really cute. It looks like a cat. The staff will also help you if you need anything. It’s not like they’re trying not to help you or anything. They’re just very efficient and fast. I come here from White Rock and I don’t mind making the drive even in rush-hour because I know they will go above and beyond for me. Today I told him it was my birthday when I was leaving and they got excited and gave me a free gift and an extra dessert bar that really made my day as it’s getting harder and harder to meet kind people who appreciate your business 10 out of 10!!

Went there to celebrate with friends for a belated birthday dinner. Since we had a large group and made advanced reservations, we have a special VIP room with sliding doors. Individual hotpot made it great especially if you are not among family. Selection of items was all done via tablet with response speed pretty quick at delivering food to your table either by person or robot. There was a section for some dessert cakes, fruits, light appetizers, and a bar for customizing your sauces. Areas were neatly cleaned and tidy as well as the washrooms providing a good atmosphere. All in all, the experience was a good one and worthy of return.

Always a great experience at Happy Lamb Hot Pots - in Burnaby and in Richmond :) Their service is great and the staff are attentive. I think that, by default, the items are a la carte. At certain times of the day (e.h., late night), there are some unlimited items (e.g., signature sliced beef & lamb). There is also happy hour, starting at 5pm or 8pm, depending on the day of the week. Looking forward to coming back :)

Impressive hot pot restaurant. We were greeted with courteous gestures. Restaurant looks clean and well organized. Even the bathroom looks clean and refreshing. Meat, veggies and all other items are well prepared and nicely presented. You can see their meat slicer behind the window busy working. Meat quality looks very good; not overly fatty. There’s a DIY sauce bar with more items than we ever expected. Although the soup base is much saltier than our likings.
